We’re delighted to welcome you to GMIS Enrichment Diaries, the new blogging platform for Greater Manchester Independent School.
This site has been created to celebrate learning beyond the classroom and to give our students a meaningful voice. GMIS Enrichment Diaries is a space where students can record, reflect on, and share their achievements across the wide range of enrichment opportunities that make up life at GMIS.
From the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, AQA Unit Award Schemes, and BTEC pathways, to Forest School, Sports and Fitness, and many other initiatives, students will use this platform as a reflective learning diary. Each student will have their own secure account, allowing them to publish short blog posts that showcase what they’ve been doing, what they’ve learned, and how they’ve grown.
Students will be encouraged to:
- Reflect thoughtfully on their experiences
- Upload photos, videos, and other media to evidence learning
- Develop confidence in writing for a real audience
- Build digital literacy and pride in their achievements
For parents and external stakeholders, GMIS Enrichment Diaries offers a window into the rich, personalised learning journeys our students take part in every day. These posts are not just records of activity, but reflections that highlight resilience, independence, teamwork, and personal development.
